- BEACHES: NORTH SHORE
- Lumaha'i is the best sand and
sandy beach with a diving
rock (short trail walk)
- Anini, protected reef, windsurfing
- COCKTAILS: PRINCEVILLE RESORT
- Great views, good (expensive) restaurants, pool
bar is the perfect afternoon place for a cocktail
- GOLF: Makai Golf Course
- Best views in Hawaii right on the course, 9 hole
Ocean is my favorite, 9 hole Lakes and 9 hole Woods are all fair plays.
- GOLF: Prince Golf Course
- Hit it straight and place your shot or play Makai,
this is a challenging course but awesome
- QUEEN'S BATH: Swimming, sunbathing
- PRINCEVILLE
SPA
- PRINCEVILLE
GYM
- At the Prince golf course, nice gym with weight
room and exercise bikes. Spa treatments and massages etc.
Book it before you arrive on the island
- SIGHTS: Queens Bath
- Semi-easy trail walk to a tide pool that is
protected from the ocean.
- SNORKEL: SeaLodge
Beach
- Below our house, definitely the best snorkel spot
on the island. Go just beyond the reef on the left you'll see
huge schools of the most beautiful fish around the island. Be
careful during winter months as big surf can break here so don't
venture too far from the reef as the water is deep with strong currents.
- SURF: Hanalei for beginners, rent boards on the
beach or in Hanalei for a fiberglass board for the day, week, month at
Kayak Kauai.
- MAP OF KAUAI
- RESTAURANTS: Hanalei Bay and
Princeville Kauai areas
- Best Dinner is Barracuda (seafood)
- Tropical Taco! Only tried it 1 time, can't
honestly rate it yet.
- Bubba Burgers... don't do it! Greasy
- Breakfast; Hanalei: Java Kai is very local and
casual
- Lunch/Dinner; Kalipso: casual and
lively.
- Princeville Golf Club: Monday, Wednesday &
Friday is Sushi nights
- Dolphin: great fish, get the wasabi sauce for your
fish... the best!
