My favorite day in Kauai was definitely going to Hanalei Beach.  When we first got there, of course, I put my sunscreen on.

 Then Katie and I ran into the warm, refreshing ocean.  The waves at Hanalei were amazing.  I was a little bit scared of the giant waves, but Katie definitely wasn't. 

She kept telling me, "they aren't scary, all you have to do is dive under the waves!"  After a while, I began to get used to the waves. 

My brother, Travis, occasionally came in the water and splashed me. 
 

Catching those waves, I definitely was getting the courage to dive under the waves. Before the wave, Katie would tell me to either dive under, float over, or ....

Hanalei is definiatley the best beach on Kauai. 

After two more hours of body surfing, my Mom, Katie, and I all decided that we were done at the beach and we decided to go get Shave Ice Paradise.  That place is definitely the best place on Kauai to have shave ice.  I recommend getting 3 flavors with a scoop of vanilla ice cream at the bottom.  That day, I chose to get the flavors coconut, pineapple, and cotton candy.  It was the best shaved ice I have ever had.

Finally, going to Hanalei was my favorite day in Kauai.
